Getting Close

The first semester of my final year is drawing to a close. It is very difficult for me to believe that we have had 13 weeks of classes. And many lab reports, homeworks, quizzes and tests later we are almost done. We have one week of classes and one week of final exams left. It has been a very difficult semester. We are in the midst of working on our final project in Surveying. It has been very disheartening. Several times we have had to go out and reshoot some of our shots as they were not as accurate as they needed to be. If the temperature were still in the 60s with no snow on the ground it would be no problem. But it is December. It is cold and there is snow on the ground. Don't get me wrong I really love surveying. I hope to do lots of it when I finish. But anytime you are working you like the conditions to be favorable. They aren't always and that is what we have been experiencing the past week or so. If I can post my project for you all to see when it is done I will. I'll ask one of my more computer savvy classmates to show me how. I am lucky as far as finals go. I only have scheduled each day. They run from Tuesday to Friday. I should be exempted from the Wednesday final in Hydraulics as my grade is high enough to not have to take the final. That is the only class where we can get exempted from the final. I am not sure that I will make Dean's List this semester. It will be close.
Once again Leigh has been wonderful during my schooling. I wouldn't have been able to this without her constant support. Thank you.

Hope you can get your project on your blog. Would love to see it. Good luck with your finals. Sending good thoughts your way. Where would we be without our wonderful and supporting spouses. Kudos to Leigh.

My major is Civil and Environmental Technician. I get an Associates Degree this time.
I plan to go to graduation.

Our project is doing the topography around one of the buildings on campus. That includes the walkways, trees, buildings, etc. that surround this particular area. We go out and survey the area then download onto our computers the data and from that create a drawing.

Congrats and good luck on the finals. My last few years in the Navy I worked with AutoCad drawing building plans and equipment elevations, it was one of my favorite jobs I've ever done. Hope you can post the project would love to see it.
