Suppose I ought to tell you where I have been lately. Nowhere actually. One of our computers was in the shop for repairs. That would be Leigh's computer. Hers is newer than mine so I use hers when I post things on this blog. Mine is a year or so older and is not really very technologically savvy anymore. The snow has finally left all parts of our yard and the grass is turning green. My cold frame is growing rather nicely. I put some lettuce, spinach, and mesclun mix in there. I got off to a rather late start this year as I was lazy last Fall and didn't set up my cold frame for the Spring. That left me several weeks behind where I should have been. I am hoping to be eating some greens out of there in 2 weeks.
We have seven more weeks of school. I know the teachers are all looking forward to the end as much as the students are. I suppose that when you are student you never really think about that aspect of school. Once school is over I will have about 4 weeks before I start my summer program at Vermont Tech. That program starts on July 15th. It will be 5 days/week for 4 weeks. It leads right up to the first day of school in August. Wait a minute some of you might be thinking. The last we heard you had decided to put off going to school this Fall. This is true. But after some deliberations we have decided to just bite the bullet and go for it. I am trying to get some student loans to cover my expenses. I don't think it will be a problem to get the loans. I am going to try to get some grants also. They are nice as you don't have to pay them back. This summer my school days will be 2 hours of math, then 2 hours of physics followed by 2 hours of language arts. So it will be 8-4:30 each day. Vermont Tech (aka VTC) is about 35 miles from our house. Most of the drive is down Rte 89 so it will be an easy commute. My major will be Civil Engineering. I need to buy a new laptop before I start as well as some fancy calculator for the math courses. I am looking at the Dell line. Right now they are having a 25% off sale until the end of May. I will more than likely get a Dell. The guy who is in charge of the CE program recommended I get a Dell and told me all the stuff I should make sure it has. I have no idea what Bluetooth is but it is on his list.
I have been toying with the idea of starting another blog. Actually Johnny and I have been discussing it as he feels I don't give him enough press on my Gardenboy blog. I did have to remind him that he really isn't a very accomplished typist. Not a problem he retorted I just want pictures. So I will keep you posted on the progress of that idea.
And I have been in hockey ever since I can remember....

Good luck Bubba! We both are in favor of an all Johnny blog.
Cody and I both have a Dell laptop. They are great! You should check and see if your school has deals for employees, or see if VT has deals for students. Most schools do... Good luck with school!!! :) :) :)
Great idea Mag. Thank you. I hadn't thought of that. I was just pleased to see that Dell was offering 25% off.
I am quite excited about getting back into the school scene.
hey good luck! keep us posted on how school is going when the time comes...What do you hope to do with the new degree? Engineer stuff, I know - but what kinda stuff?
i've got a dell too..I think the same one as Mag and Cody. it works fine. if i was rich i would have gotten a mac laptop instead - but they are big $$!
